| Background | In its first two and a half years of operation, the APHIA II NC Project assisted Ministry of Health, private health providers, NGOs and faith based partners to provide the following services: - 9,907 clients were receiving anti-retroviral therapy at the end of June 2008
- 152,986 persons were counseled and tested for HIV
- 54,692 women were counseled and tested for HIV through Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission services.
- 2,303 HIV+ mothers received prophylactic ARVs
- 1,089 clients had received treatment for TB
- 24,857 the CYP reached by end June 2008
- 998,220 persons were reached with HIV prevention messages
- 6,527 persons were receiving home based care at the end of June 2008
- 31,378 orphans and vulnerable children were being supported by the end of June 2008
