USAID/K Family Planning/Reproductive Health Partners meeting
On Tuesday July 21, 2009 Jhpiego Kenya, through the ACCESS Uzima project, facilitated a one day USAID/K Familly Planning/Reproductive Health (FP/RH) Partners Meeting at the Mayfair Holiday Inn.

The objectives of this meeting were:
  1. Disseminate USAID/Kenya FP/RH Strategy
  2. Highlight United States Government (USG) Global Health Initiative and priorities
  3. Launch of ACCESS-Uzima and APHIA II Operations Research Project
  4. Sharing of USAID Service Delivery Projects Activities
  5. Establish a Forum for FP/RH partners

Consultative meeting on MARPS programming

On 7th July 2009, the National AIDS & STI Control Program (NASCOP), facilitated a one day consultative meeting with various partners to discuss several issues concerning Most at risk populations (MARPS) in the country.

The objectives of the meeting were to:

  1. build consensus on how to develop programs for MARPS in the country
  2. provide an update for MARPS in the country
  3. build consensus on the content of MARPS guidelines and also validate the guideliness (process on-going)
  4. develop a strategy of mapping of MARPS partners
