The AIDS Population and Health Integrated Assistance Program (APHIA II) in Eastern province, Kenya has been designed to empower Kenyan communities to address health concerns by strengthening linkages between health care providers and community groups. The program is funded by USAID and implemented by Jhpiego in partnership with AMREF, EGPAF, FHI, LVCT and PATH. Concentration of work is in the following districts within Eastern Province: Embu, Tharaka, Kitui, Mbeere, Meru South (Chuka), Meru Central, Meru North (Maua) and Isiolo.
